AKA Shark

Gotta love the interviews with Mac, he seems like a guy that figured it out. Has all the makings of it. He went to AZ in Nov to work his ass off and "learn how to pitch". admits he was not aware of how much he didnt know.

Yes it was a contract year for him

so far cant really argue with the results.

This guy also wants to be the new king of Wrigleyville.

Becoming a number one starter, Samardzija wins 19 games, making a formidable rotation with #2 Matt Garza and Contract seeking #3 Ryan Dempster.

Looking good!

Good interview, it was really light hearted and the kid doesn't take himself deadly
serious. This interview could have been done at a party standing out on a patio.
I am wishing him luck and it was cool to hear him admit he didn't really know how
to pitch until this winter.

Now I'm glad they kept his ass around. Last season, I thought it was a mistake to bring him North from spring training. the guy was coming off a horrible year and was awful in spring training, yet they held onto him because of the potential they saw. He had a terrific last 2/3 of a season last year and has been nothing short of amazing SO FAR this year. I hope it's all legit. I loved the interview, as he seems intent on staying with the club and being a major part of their future.
