It's top of the eigth and the Bucs leadoff hitter singles. As he run's toward first,he see's the pinch runner already standing on first. The batter veers off before stepping on 1st and heads to the dugout.
At that point,the ump should have called him out but nobody noticed,nobody cares,it's just a Cubs game.

What? No way the pinch runner is out of the dugout and on the base before the batter gets to first.

That's what I thought. I thought I was seeing things. If somebody taped it (highly doubtful),you will see it.

I can't imagine the first base coach would let the pinch runner do that either. You sure you weren't seeing things, or a funny camera cut?
