I agree he wasn't entirely at fault BUT Alou not catching that ball made the Cubs SS anxious on the next play because he was rushing to turn two and booted the ball. IF there were 2 outs already,he would have fielded it cleanly and tossed to first...INNING OVER!

I also think if his last name was Smith or Renyolds,this story would maybe simmer. His name is Bartman. It just sounds like a guy who would fuck up the play of the century!

It's unfortunate that people got so angry at Bartman and it got as crazy as it did, with fans threatening him and such. Would the lives of Cub fans be that different had they won the World Series in 2003? Not really. The sun still came up the day after the Marlins beat the Cubs that night and it came up the day after they beat the Cubs in game 7 as well. It's a great game, but in the end, it's just a game. It was a wonderful, thrilling season....it just had an unfortunate ending. Get over it.
