Who in todays Sun Times was quotes as saying the disappointing thing about being dealt was that he really wanted to stay here. No fuckface, you didn't. They offered you 5 years 85 million which you rejected. So you obviously didn't really want to stay here . Tat was a fair , generational wealth offer and you turned it down in search of a bigger payday. which is fine. Just don't come with that I wanted to stay here bullshit. No, no,no, don't crap me now.

How is that a fair offer when the overwhelming consensus is that he's going to get paid significantly more in the open market?

I think he wanted to stay in Chicago if he get his fair market value as well.

  17 million a year for 5 years for a 29 yr old 10 games under .500 pitcher isn't fair market value ? Again if you say you really want to stay somewhere you would make a concession to what perceive to be your value to make it happen. Obviously he didn't reallywant to stay here. Just don't say that you did.

If he was a lefty, maybe I could see a higher market value but not as a righty with that history

3-3 with an ERA of 4.07 now in 9 starts. If Addison Russell turns out to be a Barry Larkin type player-the deal may go down as one of the best in recent history for the Cubs. Of course the Arrietta and Strop for Feldman deal is looking pretty great right now!

I'm surprised you're not a little more upset at the...contrast of those two trades.

They have both been great deals, why would I be upset?
