Wada jokes aside (Wada Pitch! ) this guy has been dealing.
Nice to see Baez get on and Rizzo put one on the street to bring them all home.

Is it me or is it starting to feel like it might... be coming together???

Oh and this ump's strike zone would give Hawk a stroke.

Yes. It's the beginning of the beginning. Better things next year. Great things the following year. About what I've expected since it started.

Couple of good Hunter Pence signs out in left.

I really think they can push for a playoff spot if not win the NL central next season. Gotta buy high sell low you know.

What are the signs all about? They had them in Milwaukee and I know I have missed something, but what did this poor lad do to deserve all of the signage?

I love this optimism. It's not much fun when you guys expect to suck by the time Cubs convention has ended.

He loves it - he's part of the gag. He responds sometimes, usually better.

Wada is like 50 years old and Baez is hitting Chinese dentist time.

The Cubs are set.

Honestly, not in the least. I expect him to have a nice, highly overrated career. The highlights will be amazing but the consistency will be low.

Cubs fans will eventually turn on him.

Wada is a bad example of the Cubs potential emergence. He is 33 years old. However, I do get the feeling that there are real major league pieces on this roster, namely Rizzo, Castro, Baez, Alcantara, Neil Ramirez, Hendricks, and Arrieta. Once we add in Soler and Bryant, among other young players, the team should be competitive. It may only take a few free agent signings to get this team in contention. I can't see it coming together next year, but 2016 is a real possibility for 90+ wins.

2016 has to be the year. The CBA expires 12/31/16 and Jerry definitely is plotting his revenge and planting the seeds for a lockout.

The Cubs are doing it wrong. Compete for half a season and then tank for the second half of the season is the perfect way to do it!

White Sox fans got to enjoy an early playoff chase and now we get to enjoy the race to the bottom!

Rizzo and Baker definitely get a bit gay at times.

However...Baker comes to the Cubs and Rizzo becomes a star. Extend Baker for the duration of Rizzo's remaining contract years.

I honestly do not know why he is bad. Mechanics look good but his fastball seems to flatten out and land right in the zone. If Bosio cannot figure him out WTF? I had a crazy thought about maybe making him a closer but IDK. Maybe he is the next Dennis Eckersley. Maybe he just drunk. :drunken:
