Lotsa Baez hate going around, what did everyone expect? They even said, they are going to let him go for a period of time and not screw with him. The guy struck out early at every level.

Listening to Holly today, he was like the guy better make some changes in a hurry or his career is over! lol

Baez has struck out 36 times in his first 86 AB's.....I guess 29 times in his first 106 AB makes Holly an amazingly better player!

And Holly does know about careers being over in a hurry, WON ROY and then traded every time he put up any good numbers, good bye!

Speaking of rookies,I was shocked to hear Mike Olt led all rookies in HR's until some guy tied him on Sunday. His 12 held up,5 weeks or so after being sent to the minors.

I always picture, like, retired factory workers and farmers of the Des Moines area who have nothing to do and don't mind every now and then driving some fresh-faced kid out to The Big City in faithful service to the Cubs (and for a pair of tickets and reimbursement on the gas), occasionally breaking the silence and monotony of I-80 with muttered remarks about working hard and keeping one's nose clean on The Road. There's much less bittersweet rustic Americana to the Greyhound scenario, I tell you what.

I think you might be the one only seeing what you want. As BigFan noted everyone here has been constantly talking about the downside of Baez

No worries RPB, the non-believers (of the Plan) have to fight harder as the Plan starts to show promise. The prospect train has only just begun to roll, and the Cubs have an entirely clear payroll to add free agents as needed. With Rizzo and Castro showing they are real major leaguers, along with surprises like Arrieta, I am as hopeful as ever.

If I heard it correctly, I think they are 45-45 in their last 90. Add some pitching to that, and it could be a fun season.

He's juicing, he's older than he says he is, he can't hit the slow stuff, he can't hit major league pitching, he can't hit the breaking ball, he isn't a good fielder. Do I have all of his faults? Feel free to add to the list.
