They were broadcasting the intros on CSN. So I'm flipping back to it every now and then. Jesus Christ, they must have announced 70 people. Current and former Cubs. That has to be the most boring thing to be there for intros of mostly no names.

I've been to one Sox fest in my life. Not the intros. You get there and you immediately think to yourself, "Why the hell am I here? What's the point?" So I'll never go again.

I said What's the point? and never went the first time.

I watched the intro's on Comcast. What a sea of mediocrity with a few quality players and HOF's tossed in for good measure.

When I was at Sox fest, there were a few Sox players signing. Big lines. I remember they were shit players. Not that I would have stood in line for a good player. So you just walk around. There was some Sox crap for sale. Stuff they pulled out of the club house to sell for Sox charity. So you look at that. Then move on.

Then you just pretty much walk around aimlessly.

I will admit I found my self staring at Hawk and Farmer. They just look odd. I don't see Farmer much. So it was the first time I've seen his weird look. But Hawk looks strange, too. More so in person than he does on TV. So after I was done staring at them, I left.

That's my Sox Fest experience.

This. I met him & DJ at a radio affiliate day at The Cell before a game... I know, you're happy for me.

Farmio has an odd look that you just can't explain. They were friendly & cordial and the amount of free food and drinks there was sinful. We left full, bloated and miserable - Sox lost to Cleveland that day.
