I think it is probably too much of an organizational shift to make this move to start this season, but at this pace, Russell would be beating Starlin out of a job right now and when I originally heard the Jeter comparables, I was skeptical, but now you can see it. Nothing spectacular, just seems to do everything right. Good eye, solid contact, fields well.

Conistant and productive is what you want at that position...especially when you have future HOF's everywhere else... :D

Also noticed Marcus Semien at 2B for the A's....? Heard last year he was 'On the team for next year"

Kyle Schwarber is Babe Ruth, Addison "Can't hit RH pitching" Russell is Jeter....which one's the next A-Rod?

We're told over and over again how most Cub fans are realistic and measured in their enthusiasm, but it's hard not to pop a boner when you have the greatest team in the history of sports on your hands.

Biggest problem will be running out of room for HOF statues! Might need those Rooftops....make massive 10x's size statues overlooking the park!!!!!

Bigfan calls me the "WHIZ kid" then 10 minutes later compares Addison Russel to Derek Jeter.

STOP SAYING THAT! Not all Cub fans think that way. Just 99 out of every 100 you talk to.

The statues are most likely to be of Len Kasper and Pat Hughes.

So who is Addison Russell's equivalent?

-The Mighty Casey at Bat?
-Roy Hobbs?
-Bobby Rayburn?
-Frank Thomas?
-Albert Pujols?

He's probably just another bust.

The statues are most likely to be of Len Kasper and Pat Hughes.

I assume Jerry will get HAWK a statue....because Its HAWK and he likes him....and I would guess that Len has become the face of the Cubs media that will be there for the next 30 years, I figure he will get a brick at least

Frank goes from predicting the guy's career output to admonishing IMU over predicting the output over 3-4 seasons? That is some serious WYC material right there.

That is Frank for you. Give him credit about being passionate.

And that is where you also have to stop giving credit.
