November and February were some of the coldest on record. December, January, and March were comparatively mild. It was not a particular snowy winter either. Its just that we got socked with that 19" of snow on Super Bowl Sunday and it stayed around for nearly 6 weeks.

February was brutality, other than its been par for the course if not milder.

**I was in Oregon until mid-January.

That was the only significant snow of the winter.

I would hope they had some procedure in place for removing snow during a Chicago winter. If so, they really only needed to do it once in any significant way.

My snowthrower barely broke a sweat this winter...which is good...because she just turned 82.

yeah i zipped by the confines on the red line last night and holy shit..... that's gonna be a thing.

it's gonna hearken some of that last-year-at-shea feeling that got a mets fan to ask me "what do you think of the place?" and i was diplomatic with a lot of uhhhs and this and that and he cut me off like "IT'S A DUMP. IT'S GODDAMN DUMP.... BUT IT'S OUR FUCKING DUMP AND DON'T YOU FORGET THAT!!!!"

Hatchetman isn't a Sox fan.

The pictures on bleedcubbieblue from March 29 make me more confident that it will be ready and won't look terrible in April and May. Not sure how long they will keep the Banks tarp up, but they should be able to replace it with something until June.

Either way, just like the rebuild of the team, it will be worth it in the end.
