A good chunk of these are idiot Cubs fans so even Sox fans should get a kick out of it.
The best though are the Sun-Times dopes and their buddies.

There were legit doubts that the Plan would ultimately work, and it is still an open question because they have yet to produce a title. I understand all the concerns about "purposely" losing and not being competitive to eventually build a sustainable franchise. There are clearly other ways to go about a rebuild.

As I have said all along, I wanted to see a complete tear down because the Hendry model was not sustainable even if it produced lots of near term success. To see the Plan blossom before our eyes just makes me one happy camper. Now go get em boys.

i think it's fair to say right now that it looks like the plan's gonna work.... the cubs should be a contender for the division and beyond for at least the next 5 years if they keep the core together and especially if arrieta doesnt lose his magic pixie dust or whatever turned him into a top-3/5 pitcher in MLB... and then if you add more top tier pitching to this by hook or by crook you're only going to get better as your position players blossom and it's pretty obvious that maddon can manage the hell out of this team. in terms of the plan setting you up for success it has done that without a shadow of a doubt.

however, as the 90s braves can tell you there's a big difference between being #WeAreGood and winning the tournament.... and the latter is where cubbie occurrences and whatnot can come into play so it's gonna be fascinating to watch!

Theo planned on Arrietta becoming a Cy Young and Billy Beane's desperation, I guess. That is a brilliant plan.

No, the Plan is about acquiring a lot of young talent with the knowledge that you can't predict which will be great (Rizzo, Arrieta) and which will bust out (Olt). By acquiring lots of high quality pieces, you are likely to find several gems. And the jury is out on many of these young players, but it is a good bet that some will work out (Bryant among them).

That is everyone's plan. If there is nothing exceptional about a plan, it shouldn't be referred to as The Plan
