Good start.

Putting all the arguments about W-L, David Ross etc aside, Lester might be the key to winning big this year.

If they are going to make the playoffs and do damage Lester is going to have to have one of his great years.

Agree 100%.

I think he's going to have a solid year.

Maddon was on with Speigs and Goff yesterday. He said he thinks Lester feels more like 1 of 25 this year with the "big money contract" headlines behind him. I hope his buddy,Lackey has a decent year, too.

I said in November he'd be under a 3.00 ERA this season. I hope he makes me look smart.

........ To a man, Lester's teammates see a different player. Lackey has a lot to do with that, as he’s contributed to the comfort factor that Lester admittedly didn’t have last year. He’s seemingly found it in Year 2, though, and now has nowhere to go but up. Lester is a “feel pitcher,” and boy is he feeling good right now.

“I’m in a better place than last year coming into the season,” Lester said. “Physically, mentally, I’m light years ahead of where I was last year at this point.”

It's unfair to put such a burden on the man.......

I still don't trust a guy who can't field bunts and throw to bases with any degree of effectiveness regularly. But his first start was a good one.
