lol, i'm smoking out in the garage with the radio on in the BG and i hear captain "IT'S ALL GOOD" rongey out there saying that adam dunn is doing what he's supposed to do and when he's in the 3-hole it's a completely different lineup. Maybe he later elaborated that he meant IF (rings murph's "what if" bell) dunn could start hitting ~.260 with his ~35-40 HR power for any extended period of time, man, that'd be a thing... cuz he walks so much even if he were to hit .260 he;d have a nice OBP that would set the table for konerko.
as it stands, the white sox have a few black-holes in that lineup (pierre/rios/bacon/pierzynski (part time, anyways) and like, even when ozzie's hunch to put morel in the 2-hole to give him a steady diet of fastballs hitting in front of konerko seems to have worked out (at the time i saw a .240ish hitter with ONE STINKING WALK ON THE SEASON and i'm thinking "what the fuck is he doing in the 2-hole? sure, alexei ramirez would have more value hitting 5th-7th driving in guys as opposed to being a table-setter who doesn't steal too many bases and even tho he adapted and took more walks this year (even at a noticeable pace for alexei) man, you just want him driving in runs as opposed to being one) but... blargh, lost my train of thought.
long story short, ozzie seems to have pushed the right button with morel as he's looked good in the 2-hole, but like, even that isn't enough to cover up all of the black holes in this lineup. it's so bad he can pull rios out of a game for dogging it down the line, but since they're so desperate for defense in the wake of no production, man, you HAD to have him and his gloriously long strides out there.
ah well, c'est la vie. MORE SINI BABBLE TO COME, TRUE BELIEVERS! I-S-0-P HOOOOOOO!!!!@ *grabs 2x4"
