What ever happened to accepting slumps? I mean, its bad, but it is what it is. The only change I see is with idiot fans. The Dunn stuff is starting to sound like the Cutler stuff. It's beyond idiotic.
I'm far more pissed off with Ozzie at this point, and what he is doing with lineups. Or Rios who I have never been a fan of. Hated that move.
Ive wanted Dunn in Chicago for the last 4-5 years. Either side of town. I'm a fan of the guy, and I feel bad for him. Growing up when I played all the way through High School, hitting was always an issue, and it was always mental. And it is times like this it only reinforces my amazement that anyone can hit at the MLB level to begin with.
Dunn will come around this season, or next. The guy will mash the ball like he always has, and this will die a quiet death.
People just have to find a scapegoat and are totally unable to look beyond the moment. This Dunn stuff has really brought out the idiots among White Sox fans. Shit happens. I've said it before, but its far less likely that Dunn continues to play this bad. Far more likely that he starts playing that he usually does.
This team needs to try in-house options. I hope they can figure out a way to move Teahen and/or get rid of Vizquel. Teahen's contract extension was the mistake Kenny made with him. He would have been fine for a year.
Rios is the one that I am most concerned about, this isn't the first time he has slumped like this... unlike Dunn.
