Garland didn't have it apparently 11 ER in 3 1/3 innings.

Fields continues his tear with another HR. He's really showing me something good at the plate. He's hitting nearly 400 for July with an OPS above 1.0

20 - 13. I went to a White Sox game and a football game broke out. Anyone have Chicago getting 7 1/2 ? You can breathe a little easier now  .

He was going back tomorrow anyway. He'll be back for good when Jose gets traded. Don't give up on him.

Already given up. On the mound he looks like the type of guy who if you punch in the face will start crying and ask you why you don't like him instead of swinging back. His tail is firmly planted in between his legs and his balls have never descended.

I will admit he looked very straight. Plus it looks like he's aiming it instead of throwing it. Not to mention he's been up and down in the bigs since 2004. You'd think he'd figure it out by now if he was gonna be good.

Shit!! I've convinced myself he's gonna suck. Damn. You guys are right.

They haven't quit for christ sake. They just aren't good. Garland has one piss shitty game. They still come back with 14 runs. Is that quiting? No.

They won 8 out of 11 before today. Cmon. Let's not throw the "they quit" thing around. It's too easy and based on the facts I've given you it's also not true. They just aren't good.

So let me get this straight. Iguchi, Uribe, & Dye - all in contract years - are not gonna try to get hits.

All of these young guys looking to stick in MLB are not trying. Terrero, Lewis, Fields, Masset, Danks & Floyd are all not trying. Right?

Garland says "aww the hell with it, I'm gonna give up 12 runs today".

Konerko, the one guy locked up for 3 more years, is hitting the shit out of the ball.

The entire bullpen are all trying to save their major league careers. You think they aren't trying like hell to get outs? They just suck.

Plus the minor fact that they won 8 out of 11 before today.

Yeah Nas. They are quiting. Cmon Nas. Think about what you are saying.

Yes I did. But it's not "they play well or they are quiting."

Floyd gave up 6 runs today Nas. It was his first game this year. That was the major reason we lossed that second game. He just came up to the team. Do you think a kid like that with his first chance is quiting on his first start?

After Garland got rocked we scored 14 runs today. That's not quiting.

You have to give me specific guys and examples of who is quiting.

It certainly can't be rookies or guys in contract years. Konerko and Thome are locked up and hitting well recently. I just want you to tell me who is quiting. You can't just throw that out there without giving me examples. It's not about being optimistic. These guys have to play all 162. It's not like they want to strike out or give up homers.

I'm also gonna say this for the third time. WE WON 8 OUT OF 11 BEFORE TODAY.

I just don't know the motive guys like Iguchi, Dye and Uribe have for quiting in contract years and costing themselves millions.

I know rookies are looking for that big contract. Can't be them.

They have to show up to the park for 162 games. They have to take batting practice. They have to travel. They have to take their 4 or 5 at bats every game.

I just can't see a guy going to the plate and saying to himself. "I'm not gonna try to hit the ball. Who cares?"

It just doesn't make sense. If they have to travel and show up for all of these games don't you think they all want to do well?

Sometimes they just don't get it done Nas. Sometimes it's that simple.

Ok. I've explained myself enough. I'm going to bed.

They haven't quit - they stink, and this isn't new. It's been going on since the 2nd half of 2006. Look at the bullpen - night after night the bullpen sucks, they are playing 3 or 4 automatic outs from Andy Gonzalez, Jerry Owens, Luis Terrero, Juan Uribe, etc, and have Jermaine Dye who is breaking down...Then we have players who just got into ruts, and probably started presing like Iguchi and Konerko and AJ....Finally, we have injuries with Pods and Crede.

This team isn't good - why you look good, it looks dead.

Not necessarily you, but alot of Sox fans were ready to give up on Garland years ago. Mac, amongst others, christened Garland "Judy" because of his ineffectiveness early in his career.
The Phillies and Sox both thought very highly of Floyd as well as quite a few baseball pundits. I say the jury is still out on him...for what that's worth.

My issue with Floyd is he looked like a two pitch pitcher with an average FB and big curve ball. He needs a third pitch before he can be effective.

The jury is still out on Floyd, but he isn't as highly thought of as before when he came up through the Phillies system. He's only had a short stay in the majors, but he's been pounded, and he needs to show improvement, rather quickly. I'm not saying he needs to become a 3.00-4.00 ERA guy right this second, but he's been consistently getting destroyed by major league hitters.

He claimed the reason that he was succeeding in AAA was that he was now able to get his slider over. Certainly didn't see it last night.
