So who are these guys in the system?

I don't care about prospects. The point is THE INQUISITOR knows those guys werent the top Sox guys. If youre interested, figure it out. You may want to start with Spencer Adams or the guy who won the AFL MVP.

If you don't care about prospects then how can you say you know those guys are not the 3rd, 4th and 8th best guys in the system?

Because I follow it enough to know. Just like THE INQUISITOR does. He's not going to tell me I'm wrong either. Because he knows better. But his post did the trick. It got things whipped up.

No, I don't. I just know a little about the one's in my team's organization and how they are regarded.

Its ok, you can admit you care about prospects. No one is going to think less of you.

If you truly do not care about prospects then you would have no idea about what their rankings are in an organization.

The Dodgers system was loaded before the Frazier trade. It was probably in the top 2-3 along with Boston and Pittsburgh. The Sox system under Hahn was improving gut was still in the bottom third.

The trade loads the Dodgers even more. Montas was a Top 60 overall prospect.

MLB Pipeline has Montas now as the 4th best Dodger prospect and they have moved Micha into the 8th spot and Thompson is now 16th for the Dodgers. Certainly not chopped liver.

Keep inmind that most systems are only two or three guys deep but the Dodgers is far deeper. They have 2 of the top 4 plus another 2 in the top 60.

Freidmansaid the Dodger scouts loves Montas and thinks he could be a #2 and if that doesn't work they see him as an "impact bullpen arm" and his scouts think his fastball/slider combo maybe one of the best in the minors.

GD was right you have to give something to get something and the Sox did give up at least one near elite player.

So who's left in the Sox system besides Anderson and Fullmer both of whom are Top 50 guys and I'd say near-elite prospects.

Spencer Adams RHP who was at High A ball last year with a plus fastball and control

Trey Michalczewski 3B also at High A and hits with some pop and has a good glove and arm

Micker Adolfo OF in Rookie ball only 19 y/o has REAL POP and a gun for an arm

Adam Engel OF (the guy JORR refered to as AFL MVP) he is also coming off a season at High A and is jack rabbit fast a ++ for speed and is a plus glove. He is 24 and his AFL season could have been hisbreakout

There are a few more I did purposely avoid guys at AA and AAA since Joe asked for deep guys but I would include Tyler Danish, Chris Beck both RHP.

Getting another top 10 pick this year (10th) and the comp pick for Shark (somewhere around 25-30) will be a BIG shot in the arm.

rankings can be obtained in about 10 seconds, so Joe should admit to caring equal to 10 seconds of his time

Each of those guys played on the MLB level last year. It is not inconsistent to both not care about prospects and to have familiarity with people who played on the MLB roster.

They can be compiled in that time frame too.

They also were included in most of the stories about the trade.
