I admit I've been a Hawk Harrelson detractor for years but, this guy is really good. I have truly enjoyed the games when he has done the play-by-play. Hawk, enjoy your golf game, enjoy your grandchildren and enjoy watching the White Sox games on TV with a real professional heading up the broadcast.

Better than Squawk but a lil too ass grabby with Stone but its better than Hawk-Stone.

I'm usually a Hawk fan, and I like how he is the raging yang to Stone's sober yin, so I wish Benetti had a little more raging yang. But I like the guy so far--he sounds at ease up there and he's pretty smart.

In terms of penis size, I'd rank Hawk a probable first, Stone a probable second, and Benetti a probable third.

Why does Hawk live in Indiana and only broadcast road games? Goofy.

Word is that his drive is an hour and a half to Comiskular from the Hawk's nest in NWI.

Because that's where his son, daughter and grandkids live. Hawk wants to be around them so he can teach the grandkids how to be dumb ass crackers.

HOWEVER, after further research on the issue, he lives in Granger and just like it there. Family is there and thats it.

It's also partly because Hawk wants to be close to DA MA NA!!!!!

Then why would he want to travel and do the road games rather than doing the home games? Makes no sense.

Makes perfect sense, actually. Because when he's at home he has to travel 2 hours to the game and 2 hours back. So not much time with the family. Because if he's getting home at midnight or 1am he's sleeping late. And he's leaving at 2 or 3pm to get to the ballpark. Day games after night games are were really brutal on him.

So, for Hawk, road trips are easier than home games. Cuz road games are a plane ride, to the hotel, quick bus ride to the park. Quick bus ride back to the hotel.

He still wants to do games. But those long drives are a bitch for an old man. So now he gets half the baseball season living in granger in peace and bouncing the grandkids on his knee. YOU CAN PUT THE KID ON MY KNEE....YESSSSSS

Doesnt he have to drive to Midway or OHare? Some road trips are 7-10 days. Maybe he doesnt like his family.

Of course he has to drive to the airport. Obviously.

He pretty much gets a week at home and a week on the road all spring and summer. Just saying the home games were taxing on him because of the long drive. It was pretty much driving, at the ball park and sleeping. Now he gets to be with his grand kids when the Sox are at home. Cuz he doesn't live here in the winter. He lives in Orlando because of our shitty weather.
