question- why is there a qualifier "with all XBH applied"

why wouldn't you apply all XBH ?

Because when he first started these threads, IMU posted something along the lines of "Abreu was under .800 as of two weeks ago." To which FF said, 'yeah if you aren't going to count all of Abreu's games, it will be tough for him to get above .800.'

Here it is;

-Under .800 OPS last season, was under .800 this season as recently as a week ago, then hit a couple home runs and doubles.

-Agreed that he’s under .800 OPS if you just arbitrarily remove a lot his extra base hits. Got me there.
