There will be an angry thread started about his defense before this season is over. Count on it.

Yeah, Sock fans are so predictable.

That's only because the Cubs will be up by 4 runs or more in the 9th often enough that they won't need Kerry Wood. :o They'll just throw him out there, after his wound heals, to get loose.

Griffey WAS one of the best Baseball players ever. He was a highlight reel on both offense AND defense. But he has lost a couple steps. He can hit the occassional homer, but strikes out far more these days, has a very mediocre batting average and will be challenged to play center field on a daily basis. What the Sox gain on offense over Anderson (which is minimal really) they lose on defense. But its a trade for a big name, so Kenny has placated a lot of fans. It would be cool to see Griffey return to the form he showed when he was with Seattle, but that's just not going to happen. Will he get injured? Well, when was the last season he played the entire year, without injury? I would hope he could stay healthy and productive. He's a guy thats hard not to root for. But if he does get injured, I will not be in the least bit surprised.

The Question was when will Griffey hit the DL, not when will you lose your virginity.

"Griff" suffered cramps, the likely result of the 95 degree heat & humidity they had today in Kansas City, and likely won't play tomorrow. It's supposed to be a carbon copy tomorrow, and might be similar when the White Sox come home Tuesday night to host the Tigers.

I believe it was on Real Sports with Bryant Gumble when Ichiro Suzuki was asked 'what was the funniest thing a teammate said to you'? He responded with 'one guy told me Kansas City in the summer is hotter than 2 rats fucking in a wool sock'.

Contest over, Griff's "Maxi Pad Night" could be a new promo
