Hahn has done just about everything he could to make sure TLR fails. I'm not surprised that he didn't make a move.

This team doesn't deserve any trades. Unless they were going to go out and pull a Padres (which from a prospects standpoint would have been impossible) there was no one they could have acquired at this deadline that was going to materially change this team's fortunes. They're a .500 team. They need to accept reality, wait for the off-season, and shuffle the deck.

Was TLR napping during the deadline or was he coherent?

TLR didn't want to talk to the media for a reason. He knows Hahn hung him out to dry AGAIN. Every day he has to put multiple guys in the lineup who aren't MLB players or who should be a 25 or 26th guy on a winning team.

I have soured on Hahn over the last few year, but this coaching staff is absolutely trash. I agree with not trading for anyone. This team is 100% done.

At this point, I think it's about 180 games of being .500. Definitely past the point of blaming injuries/slow start/etc. That said, being a fan, I still hold out hope that every win is the start of the "hot streak"....

I'd be hoping Moncada and/or Grandal could put a couple good months together and look to move them if they did.
Grandal has 2 extra base hits over his last 190 plate appearances.

He has scored 6 runs this year.

Defensively, he's one of the worst catchers in the game.

The only option is to DFA him.
