Struck gold in the scrap heap.

Smooth at SS. Not used to that shit.

My guess is ego and contracts make it tough, but if/when TA comes back, put him at 2B. Elvis is better at SS.

I don't think I have to tell you that is not who he is. But I hope he has another 22 games just like his first 22 games.

Jim Leyritz had a moment. Scott Brosius and David Freese had a series. Brady Anderson had a season*.

Andrus can have himself a month or six weeks.
And if its a month* or six weeks* IDGAF if it means playing in the World Series.

Agree. I'm not saying that they should give him a 3 year deal, just enjoying it while he's hot. Especially when you consider the cast of misfits that would have been playing SS, and getting the at bats.

I completely agree.

But in reality there is no way TA goes to 2nd. He is seen as a team leader. Only way it would work is if TA goes to them and says I want to be moved it is best for the team.

You'd be completely wrong. Elvis has a 1.3 WAR in 22 games, and the other 1.2 is in 106 games.

He's pretty much sucked with the bat since 2018. This could end as fast as it started. If anything, you disrupt Andrus flow and put HIM at 2nd, and when he goes back to sucking, you go with Harrison.

Yeah. He's been the problem with the Sox all year.

Fucking genius.

Would’ve been 15 games without Elvis.

I'd see if TA was amenable to moving to center field. He's got the speed and the instincts to do it I believe and would solve two issues. One by putting him in center, they can move Robert to left field where his lack of a throwing arm wouldn't hurt them as much. They also have a short-stop on his way in the minors but he's probably at least one year away. They can then put Burger at 3rd base and have a minor league competition for playing 2nd base.

Lot of bad thoughts in a short post.

Did you see that locker room when Jackie was announced as an All Star?

No way anyone on that team thinks of him as a team leader.

in 43 games with the Sox;

.773 OPS
9 HR (good for 8th on the team  )
1.7 WAR (3rd highest position player WAR)
116 OPS+
1 error, .994 FLD%

Pretty good pickup. Safe to say he was not a problem with this team.

The point of a "great" pickup became moot on or about Sept 20. Put him and Mercedes in the whoop-dee-doo category.
