Why do I even check the score? This team just has no energy, fire, passion, pride, etc, etc. After listening to B and H today and them talking about 2010 being a better year for the Sox I still have ZERO faith that this team will do anything next year but underachieve.......again.

Prediction. Swept out of Minnesota and I can then be put out of my Sox misery for 2009.

Does anyone believe this team will win the Central next year? I don't.

Buerhle, Peavy, Danks, Floyd.

Because of that, they will certainly contend.

Who knows at what point of the year you can put a fork in Peavy? The other three clowns can't produce a winning record this year. What makes you think that these guys mean they will certainly contend?

If the bullpen and offense are as bad next year as they are this year, those four won't help.

Don't forget the awful defense and the dumb assed mental mistakes.

I'm not a pitcher, but it may be a good idea to walk Mauer sometimes. This team sucks.

Could this team worse than the Royals or Indians next year?

I'm thinking so.

This was the game that finally made me give up hope for the year. They just don't look like they can come back at this point. Next year is totally different... it is a fool's errand to try to evaluate it at this stage (as it still will be come April 2010.) I'm not happy they have performed they way they have, but at least I have Buehrle's game as a moment for this year. That being said, I hope they make some major changes in the off season and I expect due to salary constraints they'll be forced to.

Each of them have winning records and the team has winning records when they pitch. They can't help it KW saddled them with 2 automatic losses in every 5 game stretch before the season started.

The team will be fine next year and will certainly contend.

Thanks Wanny!

These four pitchers can pitch their asses off but if the defense sucks and the offense continues to be pedestrian I can't see how this team will improve.

This offense looks just like last years and the D is horrible. How do the Sox fix this besides turning the whole offense over?

but that is what KW intends to do

Thome is gone, there is a good chance Dye will be gone. I still suspect that Figgens is at the top of the KW wish list. If not, the Rays are said to be interested in trading Crawford.
