Nevin to the Twins for a player to be named and cash. Adds a little bit more power to that line-up. Cubs deliberatly trying to screw the Sox? Or maybe that was the only offer out there for Nevin? Lets see how this changes the dynamic of the Wild Card race..

Agreed. While Nevin still packs some power in flashes, I wouldn't even expect him to play more than 20 of the remaining games at DH. If anything, this was an acquisition by the Twins with the goal of beefing up their bench for the postseason... if they get that far. Gotta beat that Sept. 1st deadline just in case.

Those shitty Nevin stats you posted are inflated after coming to the national league. Take a look at his numbers before he went to that glorified AAA league.
