Absolutely. Not that they had to win it again but not making the playoffs puts them at the top. (wipe that grin off your face Midget) I was wrong about this team. The blame can be spread around from Ozzie to the pitching and even to the line-up down the stretch. It's more disapointing then the 86 Bears because they at least had a 14-2 season and made the playoffs. Go ahead Tall Midget give it to me. I deserve it and I can take it. Here is my list of disapointing Chicago seasons. I don't have the Cubs on this list because they don't mean shit to me

2006 Whitesox- Had the talent and just didn't come together.

1986 Bears- Everybody blames the loss of McMahn but the defense failed in the playoffs. Lesser quarterbacks have won super bowls.

89-90 Bulls- Everybody forgets about this but Jordan had been here for 6 years and the Bulls failed that year and the fans were down. I was a kid and I remember throwing stuff around the room. Laimbeer killed us with that stand still jumper and I hated that guy. We went on to win 6 titles but at that time it was a great disapointment.

1988 Bears- Beat the Eagles in the fog bowl and laid an egg at home against the 49ers at home in the NFC championship game.

I will give you the 89 Bulls (no idea why you assume people forgot about this team), but there's no way this year's White Sox rank ahead of the 03 Cubs in disappointment.

The 93-94 Bulls. Fuck Hugh Evans and his crappy phantom foul call on Pippen in New York. That Bulls team could've beaten Indiana and Houston and won a title WITHOUT M-Jeff. Pistol Pete Myers was the MAN.

By the way, that's no sarcasm...I really loved that team.

Yeah but the 93-94 Bulls didn't have great expectations heading into the season. That really was a fun team though. Pippen led them to 55 wins. He was the MVP that year. Because it had no expectations I don't consider it a great disapointment.

I'm not a Cubs fan so I was never disapointed by there failures. But just for the sake of the argument the 03 Cubs had no expectations coming in to that year and they made the playoffs. I suppose you could argue expectations change during the season. It's all a matter of individual perspective.
