I don't know if the schedule after the All-Star Break with 4 in Minnesota, 3 in Seattle and 3 in Oakland will be as make or break as the murderous stretch that had the White Sox in Minnesota, New York & Boston a year ago, but it might. The Mariners & A's may suck, but the White Sox haven't exactly played winning baseball on the left coast since they won it all in 2005.
That being said, it would be nice if the White Sox took care of business this weekend vs. the first-place Rangers at the Ballpark in Arlington, TX. If I remember correctly, the Sox split 4 games with Texas earlier this season down there.
Sox did well on the west coast last year. The good thing about the Mariners is that you know they will not pound the pitching and the Sox are very good in close games. If they avoid Felix or Cliff Lee it could be a great trip.
I'm not looking past the all star break yet. A bad stretch here versus the Rangers and Angels sends this team back to square one.
