I think this deal makes Kenny look pretty bad

Jennings is 2 years younger, makes $4.5 mil less and Colorado had to throw in a middle reliever. I don't think this trade makes Kenny look bad at all.

I'm thinking more from the Garland trade, I wonder if from a PR perspective, the White Sox backed out of that trade ????

That was a rumor, but Buchholz claimed he never even took a physical. From what I heard though, the White Sox doctors did have concerns about his health though, and that could have killed a deal.

I'm just saying I wouldn't have been surprised given the backlash of the Garcia trade to make this move so fast...Not saying Williams cares, and he shouldn't, but perhaps Reinsdorf got involved, and decided to hold off for now ?? Probably unlikely, but that, in my world, would be called a firesale, and the media/fans would have torn the team to bits.

It would have been a firesale if Willy Tavares was the center piece. Other than his speed, he's really not a super upgrade to what they currently have in the OF. Buchholz is not super. I don't much about the prospect.
