He said on the radio this morning he hadn't talked at all with the Sox recently.

Hell yes! They can repeat the division title from last year when they had Paulie and AJ batting in the middle of the order! Only this year they will both be one year older and another year past their prime!

Well, we can't all get excited about the Jeff Baker resigning.

At least one team in town is able to go after some free agents to attempt to make their team better in 2011.

Again - two of the "free agents" are the same guys that helped the Sox dominate last year. Not sure how that is making them "get better" in any way.

Dunn is a good hitter. No question.

To ASFB, this is why they didn't offer him arbitration. I'm a big fan (no pun intended), of making moves to get the extra draft picks. But this makes more sense for the organization. I think there is a plan.

Frank, I gave up the Cub v Sox hatred a long time ago. It's a much better life. I don't care what the Sox, Packers, etc. do. I care what my team does. Consider today a really good day for your organization, and you shouldn't care what the Cubs are doing. Or will do. Especially because comb over's family is on the fast track to driving the Cubs into the ground. Literally.

Signing Konerko is a mistake. If you're going to up the payroll, use it in other places.

Find me a 3B. Is Morel really ready?
Trade Quentin for somebody who is not a head case.

Morel is ready to play defense in the big leagues. You can get away with him at third in a lineup with Ramirez, Beckham, Konerko, and Dunn.

Exactly. If Morel is everyday 3rd sacker, all he has to do is play D like he did when he was called up at the end of '10, and hit .250ish with 12-15HRs and 40-60 RBI.

He hit .231 with 3 HRs and 7 RBIs

Quote the whole thing there, not just parts of it:

The Anthony John signing means one thing. Tyler Flowers isn't ready...Pure and simple.

I think Tyler Flowers is doing an excellent job of showing that he'll never be ready.
