Buehrle is looking really good. At least they can look like a major league team once every 5th day. Fields sucks.

Keyser, somebody on that White Sox infield needs to sit his ass down! :x It doesn't matter what his number is, #27, #22 or the current #7, Joshua Fields should be sitting right now and Ozzie should stick Jayson Nix in there at third until Joshua can learn how to cut down on his damn swing! :x You read it right. In my book, this bum is being called Joshua! :x

Another 0 for 4 night for Joshua, Keyser, and he was batting 2nd in Ozzie's lineup this eve. Meanwhile, the White Sox broke their 5 game slide with a 6-2 win over the Twins...By the way, when will the Joe Cocker-looking Ron Gardenhire FINALLY be put on the hot seat?

Ozzie is just as big a jackass for hitting him #2. He's fucking terrible.

Buehrle hasn't looked this good since the first half of '05. With the HRs in Cleveland and yesterday, coupled with today's hits, maybe Thome is finally staring to warm up.

Frank, I think Ozzie's still trying to find a consistent, winning lineup. This morning on the Sox flagship, 670 The SCORE with "Mully & Hanley", the Trib's Dave Van Dyck believes the middle of the lineup should be broken up instead of the top & bottom. DVD feels that's the one problem he's had with Ozzie this season. I thought second baseman Chris Getz, who is now hitting just .231 after going 0 for 3 with a walk, was very productive at the top of the lineup before his current hitting slump. Getz is still getting on base, which definitely helps, and I think will soon be back at the top of the Sox lineup.

Getz still has speed, and is playing fairly solid defense still. He also makes contact alot, so that may lead to some infield hits.

Fields is slow, strikes out a ton, has improved with the glove, but still has played mediocre defense.

What's most troubling about Joshua Fields, Frank, is that Ozzie sat his ass down in Toronto on a Friday night, and still has a terribly long swing which hitting coach Greg Walker was supposedly working with the new #7...Yeah right! :x

I'd be happy if were playing mediocre defense but he's played awful, terrible, horrendous defense. There are SO many playable balls that get by him for singles and doubles it's driving me crazy. I don't know how much longer Ozzie will put up with it. Especially considering he's utterly useless at the plate.

Keyser, if Joshua Fields doesn't cut down on his swing, Ozzie may have no choice but to sit the new #7 in favor of Nix and/or Gordon Beckham, once he's recalled. By all indications, Gordon won't be a shortstop once the White Sox officially call him up, whether it's in September when rosters expand or come Spring Training next year. My father, who has been a Sox fan longer than I've been alive, thinks Gordon will be groomed into a third baseman.

I have no idea what Josh Fields does well any more. The time to deal him would've been after the 2007 season. In the offseason, with Dye/Thome coming off the books (or, better, deadline trades), as stopgaps I'd try to sign Xavier Nady for RF and Aubrey Huff as a 1B/DH. Trade A.J. before the deadline, if someone will take him.

Starting lineup: Quentin, Anderson/Ramirez and Nady in the OF. Fields (not sure what else you can do), Beckham, Ramirez/Getz and Konerko in the infield with Tyler Flowers as the catcher.

The White Sox have now scored 13 runs in their last 2 games vs. the bumbling, stumbling Twins. Needless to say, the Joe Cocker-looking Ron Gardenhire and the Twins can't wait to return to that glorified pool room up there in Minneapolis.

Big Bob nails it down again. 9-9 in save situations this season and 79-89 (89%) over the last 2 seasons plus. It's probably time to trade him for a 4th outfielder. That is, if the other team is willing to give one up.

I don't know about nady, but I'm with you on Aubrey Huff, he's a solid hitter, too bad his career got lost in tampa...

Even though Joshua Fields went 1-for-4 last night with a run scored and an RBI, Ozzie hinted that Wilson Betemit would get the start ahead of Fields this afternoon in his postgame news conference after the 7-4 White Sox win over the Twins. By the way, Betemit is the only Sox player to get a hit this season as a pinch hitter.

Scott Podsednik continues to lead off in left field, with shortstop Alexei Ramirez batting 2nd this afternoon. Catcher Anthony John Pierzynski & second baseman Chris Getz return to the lineup this afternoon as well, with centerfielder Brian Anderson batting 9th vs. Nick Blackburn and the slumping Twins.

Kenny should be looking for a 3B that can field a ground ball.
