I bet. That was a helluva an inning. Off to go see a concert and forget this game happened now.

I'll do you a favor and keep reminding you.

This is why I enjoy to see the Cubs fail.

I text messaged 2 people during yesterdays game- both Sox fans who did not have any way to follow the game at work, so I was keeping them updated on the scores.

Soon as the game ended, I got 8 text messages from Cubs fans. Today, 15 more during that 4th inning. None of which I responded to yet they keep coming. All meatheads.

So you enjoy watching the Cubs fail cause friends of yours that text you when the Cubs are winning.... ummm... keep texting you when they are beating your team. Man I could totally see the motivation here, I mean how annoying! Cubs fans are so dumb!

On a lighter side I personally think these games shouldn't count. I mean with the media coverage being biased, the Sox not getting any respect after fluking errr I mean winning in '05, and now they're expected to take BP with rats running around? I mean how fair is that? The Cubs should automatically be disqualified.

Nice win again Cubs. Enjoy it.

We all know you're going to the playoffs. You are clearly the favorites to win the World Series.

This is all nice but it's all gonna come down to winning 3 post season series. Otherwise it's misery for you guys again.

Can Z beat Webb twice in the eventual Arizona series? He'll have to beat him once for you guys to win that series. It will come down to that in October.

Hell, it wouldn't be out of the question for Webb and Z to face each other 3 times in that series.

Oh horseshit. I would be quite willing to venture that they are equal on both sides. High proportion are meatheads my ass. You're just feeling churlish because the Sox lost to the Cubs.

There are just more of them, Frank. That doesn't make it right, and that doesn't make it any more justified that you revel in Cubs losses.

Gotta handle adversity better than that bud.

The Cubs are the better team -- overall. At least for now, they are getting the clutch hits. They'll have to continue that trend INTO the postseason.
In the grand scheme of things, it doesn't totally matter if A Ram continues to hit game-winning home runs in the ninth inning of regular-season games. He cannot go 0-for-12 in the playoffs -- like last year.
Geo Soto is a quality hitter. They have a scary lineup -- even without Soriano.
If you're one who hates to see the Cubs continue to be the baseball story in town, it's going to a long, painful summer. The guys aren't going anywhere. Right now, they are the best team in the NL.

Right. They are gonna win 100+ games.

This team has to win the World Series or else nothing else matters.

It's fun if you're their fan. It's always great to see them rack up wins and play well.

But if they lose in the playoffs none of this matters.

This is the first year that they had high expectations that they are living up to it.

1984, 1989, 1998, 2003, 2007 were all surprise years. All of these years followed horrible seasons.

1985 and 2004 were high expectation years and they failed to even make the playoffs.

You have to enjoy the ride as it's happening. It's true that should they not win the WS this year, it will be a dissappointment. That said, this is a nice ride.
Now, what the fuck has gotten into Marmol...

Even in 2005 when the Sox were running away with it I was nervous for the playoffs. They nearly didn't make the playoffs.

They lost that first game to the Angels in the ALCS and i said "well they'll blow this again."

I was shocked how we tore through those playoffs. 11-1 for those who forgot.

No matter how good of a regular season your ace can always have a bad start in the playoffs. Plus your ace will be facing another ace. The offense can always slump in the playoffs too.

The Sox deserved to get their asses kicked Friday and Saturday.

The way they depend on the long ball makes them a mediocre NL at best. Their lack of bunting and timely hitting is just plain pathetic.

I've never seen a team not be able to move runners along as poorly as the Sox do.

They will get swept tomorrow surely, but hopefully will take two of three at the Cell.

I would like to give everyone a brief lesson on the word "meatball":

1. Obviously, Frank's favorite word. Please Frank, use "meatball" one more time you freakin' moron......

2. One of Frank's 4 main food groups......(if anyone so desires, I will supply the rest...)

That is all...... please return to your day.......

***By the way, Frank - happy anniversary of yesterday's game 1 loss!!!!!
