Javy also gets paid well.

I wonder if we could "Win Javy Vazquez's Money", just like Ben Stein...   $13 million & Javy pitches BP at Twins' hitters...Puh-leeze!

I think Buehrle is going to throw a gem tonight.

I hope you're right, Keyser... The White Sox need a solid start from Buehrle this eve, as well as Gavin Floyd tomorrow at the Metrodome...They won't be dealing with Francisco Liriano. NO EXCUSES!!!

Seems to me like the Sox need to simply play fundamentally sound baseball. No gems needed, no homers needed. The Twins are in a good spot, true, but we simply have to keep on pace with what they are doing at the plate and in the field.

The amount of mistakes made in last night's game was simply ridiculous.

They have not played fundamentally sound baseball all year, so they are not going to start doing it tonight. That is not their game. They need to play their game, start hitting some HRs and get 7 good innings out of Buherle and they will be fine.

I will agree that they relied on the long ball all year, but by "fundamentals" I mean "act like you know what you're doing".

Well whatever you wanna call it, they are not a team that plays mistake free baseball. They have not been all year and you cannot expect them to change at this point.

Wise to lead off tonight and Griffey is in CF again :x

The White Sox cannot live by the homer to score. In that "glorified pool room", the Sox need to beat the Twins at their own game, and manufacturing runs always does the trick for Minnesota..."Get 'em on, Get 'em in." Is that asking too much?

If you are waiting for the Sox to beat the Twins at their own game, you might as well concede the next 2 games now.

You do not want your team changing who they are at this point in the season. They do not need to do that. They need a couple HRs tonight and a good outing from Buherle and they will be fine.

Small ball, 4 HRs, luck, I don't care. Tonight is a must win as far as I'm concerned.

For Ozzie to have old man Griffey in CF again tonite is terrible.

This goes beyond the horrors of Minnesota...The White Sox have been doing an awful job lately of driving men in & have left a bunch of guys on base. That's not winning baseball.

What would be your guess as to what percentage of games the Sox have had multi-homers in this season? I don't know the exact percentage, but I would assume pretty low.

It makes sense to root for a good outing from our pitcher. It does not make sense to hope for multiple home runs.

It makes more sense to me than waiting for them to play small ball well.

I just think you are asking for a loss if you expect them to play small ball and beat the Twins.

On one of his "bridge" shows before a recent White Sox game, "The SCORE's" Matt Abbatacola mentioned a stat about White Sox wins minus a homer, and I believe it's only 9 or 10 games. A really low percentage...

I couldn't agree more. Months ago I accepted that this is what this team is. They'll either live or die doing what they do. It sucks, but I don't expect them to suddenly change their philosophy as a team. It's too late in the season and they don't have the right group of guys for that anyway.

Wise is leading off tonight. OC in the two hole. I like that. Especially with AJ slumping.

Griffey is still in center field. Ozzie's gonna be stubborn with this. He's just hoping he gets big hits so he can tell everybody "fuck you."

It's clearly a mistake. Anderson is just as likely to get big hits as Jr. We've talked about the defense.

And the nightmare has started all over again...Buerhle unable to throw strikes, Minnesota leading, and the White Sox offense unable to score except for homeruns, which don't come nearly as often on the road.

Blackburn sucks. We're hitting him. Doesn't mean we'll score though. But I think we will get some runs off him.

Look at this. 3 straight hits and the bases loaded. Typical Sox.

Griffey steals an RBI, but even if it had gone foul, he still needs to drive that run in with less than 2 outs.

Very typical. It's going to take 4 hits to drive in a damn run.

Watching these Twins hit is like watching a pin ball machine. They just bounce the ball every which way off that fuckin' carpet.

Flips, flairs, bunts, bloops. Whatever. They all fuckin' drop.

3-1 Twins, it's almost time to find alternative viewing tonight. Sox just suck on the road, and Minnesota is great at home.

I think he was out but Hawk has got to get over it. But I'm used to it. He's gonna bitch about umps. We all know it. You aren't gonna change him.

Hawk is way too paniced from the start. He makes me nervous late in the season when we have a shot. I'm nervous enough but he just puts me over the top. We're gonna win this game.

Sox better not do this. They better not.

Let another "nothing pitcher" like Blackburn hold them down. Christ. We make more bad pitchers look like Cy Young than any other winning team.
