You see there's a difference from commenting and being a dick. Sox fans wouldn't waste time in the Cubs section if not for your provocations. Sox fans could sit in your section all day and rip the team you follow and point out all the failures they've had, bad personnel pickups, etc, but the majority chose not too.

Frank comments in your section because you started it by being a dick in the Sox section.
.

Bumpkin...I hate to take Championship Mountain ES's side...but everything you wrote above is not only false. Its ridiculous.

So you're saying there were more people posting in that section BEFORE ES began his campaign to annoy and provoke? I don't believe FC was posting much in that section at all until ES started posting his drivel in the Sox section.

Do you spend a lot of time in that section bashing the Cubs? I don't unless ES provokes me by being a jackass and making statements about the team I follow. Beyond that, there is no reason to visit that section at all.

I don't believe my statements are false or ridiculous.

Elmhurts was here before me...but I assume the Sox fans were already there.

Well I believe Sox fans will always find their way to bashing the cubs regardless of Elmhurst Steve.

No offense.

why do you let it bother you, though? the whole point of ES and any ahem..."fan" like that, is only looking to provoke. not to get into a debate, or bounce thoughts around. so, in essence, all you're doing is falling into a trap by replying. this is why i don't understand the complaint people have on internet forums of "provokers"--you *can* ignore them (unless it gets to the point of serious confrontation, then there may be banning involved). and typically, when you do, they stop. even if they don't, *they* look more stupid because they're trick isn't even working anymore.

CB, you're like me as a fan in that we get down on our team, wear our emotions on our sleeves. i like that in a fan, i think that shows honesty and it's genuine. but i'm just telling you, no matter what you say to ES, he is not going to change his POV or his MO, and if it keeps bugging you, he's just going to keep at it.

Enjoy your big celebration over Peavy agreeing to waive his no-trade and go to the South (wrong) side. The Padres have tailed off and were even in discussions (according to ESPN) about trading Adrian Gonzalez, so maybe Peavy got tired of the direction that team is headed. I will not be at all surprised if Peavy is nowhere close to the pitcher he was at Petco. His 3.84 ERA on the road, will be closer to what Sux fans should expect. Plus, you should expect the guy to spend at least a month on the DL, as he has the past THREE seasons. In the end, it may well be a lose-lose situation, for Peavy and the Sux, who will be on the line for all of his huge contract. Enjoy the idea of a Cy Young pitcher coming to the Sux, the reality is he won't be ready to pitch in time to win the division, if at all this season and Detroit made the better deal. The Sux will still finish 3rd.

God I love being right

Hey, even a broken watch it correct twice a day. Most of the time you end up sounding like a total dumbass on here. I guess you were due to hit the nail on the head at some point.
