If you're really trying to win, stop using Lopez and Lynn on the mound.

Definitely seems like he is in over his head.

Makes it worse when there was a report referenced on the SCORE recently saying that Bruce Bochy had significant interest in the Sox job and was basically told not interested. Then you hire a bench coach from the Royals?

Crazy stuff.

Gotta give Grifol a pass....its gonna take YEARS to recover from the damage LaRussa caused.

A proven winner who would command a relative high manager salary and tell the front office to piss off if/when they started to meddle is not a guy JERRY is ever going to hire.

Nothing will change until Jerry dies/sells, and Kenny is gone. Hopefully a new ownership group keeps the team in Chicago.

Then the bench coach uses the owner as a human shield for bad decision making.

Bruce Bochy was the best manager on the market and he is 45-27 with the Rangers.

Sox didn't even interview him :drunken:

I still don't understand that. He should of been the manager.

Undoubtedly too expensive, especially coming off what they paid LaRussa to fall asleep on the bench.

Why would Bochy choose the Sox over the Rangers?

The Sox didn't interview Bochy. Anybody with more brain function than Terri Schiavo would deduce that the Sox didn't offer him a job.

I would agree. The turnip was the one who posted Hinch was the best.

The Rangers armed Bochy with

2022 - Marcus Siemen 7 years/175 million

2023 - Corey Seager 10 years/325 million, Jacob deGrom 5/185(looking like bad paper)

Almost 3/4ths a billion in free agents

Meanwhile the Sox SHOWCASE signing, Andrew Benetendi 5 years/75 million. That's 75 million per HR he's hit this year

at the time Sox has better talent than the rangers. Bochy would have shook up the team and won like he's doing w/ the rangers.

when they keep losing players and managers so shit markets and shit teams like the Padres and Rangers there is something wrong. and when the players and manager said they wanted to play / coach here

If the Rangers (who dropped nearly 700 million in coin the past two offseasons) are a shit market, what does that make the Sox?

And the Texas GM and one of their AGM played for Bochy in San Diego.

Bochy wasn't coming out of retirement for any other situation.

Giolito?
Some deal that breaks up the 1B/DH logjam (Eloy, Burger, Sheets, Vaughn)?
If he comes back and has a good month, Hendricks?
A couple middle relievers maybe, but nobody that's going to be a "blockbuster" trade.

Anderson and Moncada have been hurt and bad
Nobody wants the catchers
majority of bullpen is bad

I think people are underestimating what we'll get for Giolito. A multi team market will develop. He has some playoff experience and, for a California team, it gives them a leg up in signing him in the off season. He's pitching to the same stats he had when he was a top 10 cy young vote getter. He could start a game 1 in a playoff series.

I'd try to sign him, but I'm probably in the 1% minority.

All true. I still think it'll take a desperate team to part with a valuable prospect for a guy that's a free agent at the end of the year. But he's kind of our only hope in that department.

Can’t remember the last time I tuned into to a game but turned it on just in time to see this fucking inning. They need to just get rid of everyone. There is just too much white Sox stink on this whole roster.

That could be the worst call ever, but it will end CB’s erection. You decide.

I’m not sure what the C is supposed to do? He was behind the plate, and even his foot on the plate was on the back half. I’ll take it as a Sox fan, but it makes no sense

Good comeback gritty win.

A win like this a team can build off. Win like 4-5 in a row.

If they don’t then something’s wrong
