At home i hope.

I wasted the first 3 hours sitting there in the rain.

LOL. I was there. left after top 8 and listened to the disappointing end on the long L ride home.

We left with one out in the top of the 8th. Made it home for the 9th.

Wish I would have known you were there. My son got to meet the "most interesting man on the board." And Laura Taylor. Quite a night for the youngster.

This team actually put together a couple of nice innings and came back to win a game against a team that has had their number for most of the year. It was fun to watch.

This guy gets it.

Could you imagine what he would be doing with any protection behind him? He doesn't have the luxury of five or six future HOF'ers in the lineup.

Hitting a few more homers than he would have while still playing on the 9th worst team in baseball?

Didn't Andre Dawson win MVP on a last place team?

Bad.

Bad thoughts

Regardless, Babe Abreu is still the best bitter in Chicago. No sophomore slump for this Cuba Bambino!

So are you saying that over the next 70 PA in the remaining 29 games "Babe" is going to hit 11 HR and drive in 26 runners while adding .024 to his BA .035 to his OBP and .070 to his SLG.

I would not call his 2015 a slump but more of a regression to the norm.

He is having a good year but is clearly NOT the "BABE" Abreu he was last year

It can't be too much of a slump since Abreu has more total bases than the cornerstone of the Cub championship run, the Great Anthony Rizzo.

It's all a matter of perspective, THE. Abreu is having an atrocious slumping year and he still has more total bases than the guy many Cub fans think is the MVP of the National League. Really, it is to laugh.

REALLY.... Abreu is not having an atrocious slumping year... he is having a good year.... less than his 2014 year but certainly nothing to be ashamed of especially considering his supporting cast....

BUT now you in your clear eyed obsession are down to TB determining the MVP..... SERIOUSLY

JORR you are better than that

Is Rizzo in the MVP picture YES he is but so are Goldy, Cutch, Bryce, and Buster ... if I had a vote it would not be for Rizzo.

"Regression to Norm"

With "Norm" being the best hitter in Chicago and one of the best hitters in the game.

Not bad!

Total bases are pretty important. I'm pretty sure Jim Ed Rice had over 400 one year and won the MVP.

Yes, having the 4th best record in baseball with a team whose starting lineup is typically comprised primarily of players under 25 is really embarrassing. I don't even wear my Cubs gear anymore!

Imagine if the Astros were still in the NL. Then the Cubs would be in 4th place.

And the Sox would be 11th in their league instead of 12th!
