Jay will be or should be gone August 1. I can see someone taking him off our hands for nothing as he is a veteran with playoff experience who is playing well and can hit off the bench while playing 2-3 defensive positions

I think they use him incorrectly. He seems OK once around the order. He should be a 12-13 pitcher for long relief. They have nothing in terms of starting pitching so this is what he gets

Yeah, that's gonna be his role in the majors. I think he could be decent, too, in such a role--2 or 3 innings.

It was a perfect night for weather last night and the Sox attendance was 14,000 out of a 40,000 seat stadium. They've always had better parking, better food and a nicer park, but for some reason the fans won't show up. Plus the stadium is only a block from the expressway.

At the beginning of the season, we had the worst outfield in baseball. Now at the end of July we once again have an awful outfield. This shows really how little depth there is in the system. We seem to have an abundance of middle infielders and first base guys but very few Outfielders.

The current line-up stinks with Jimenez and Anderson gone.
