Glad to see Cabrera can jaw at Balfour but can't put the ball in play.

That inning was White Sox baseball 2008 right there.

"Captain" Cabrera.

I'm sure I am wrong but I cannot think of a significant hit he has had this year. I don't remember him starting rallies and I don't remember him keeping any going.

Oh well. That was the chance at the big inning. Game over.

Maybe I'll go poke some Cubs fans with a stick for a little fun to take my mind off the loss.

I'm just listening on the radio. What happened with the 1st pitch that got them going?

Cabrera should feel like a d-bag. If you want to jaw at him, do it after you get a big hit. Unreal.

At least Richard has completely shut the door, only highlight of the game after Wise's homerun.

Pitcher yelled at ump and Cabrera told him to throw strikes.

Apparently, he should have told him to throw balls.

Richard 2.2 IP 1 hit and 5 K's.

Vazquez 4.1 IP 8 hits and 6 runs.

Glad the pitcher with experience started.

It's hard to believe this team was crowned "World Champs" just a few short years ago.

They simply can't match-up with the Ray.

For whatever reason, ozzie wanted vasquez. I don't know why he started the 4th and even when he managed to get through it, I don't know why he started the 5th. It's like ozzie wasn't going to be happy until vasquez gave up more runs. The fact that he let vasquez face longoria after he was 2 for 2 with two HR's......?????

Except that they started a different DH, 2B, SS, 3B, LF and CF than the world series team.

3-6 hitters today for the Sox are 2 for 14.

If Ozzie insists on playing Griffey again, he's got to hit 8th. Screw Griffey's ego, AJ and Ramirez need to be further up in the order.

I was thinking the same thing. Ozzie's in love with the righty, lefty, righty, lefty all the way through the order. But fuck it if they can't hit.
How about:
1 Cabrera
2 AJ
3 Ramirez
4 Dye
5 Thome
6 Konerko
7 Swisher
8 Uribe
9 Wise

Javy deserves much blame...but you had bases loaded with 1 out and did not put another ball in play.

I still feel VERY confident heading into tomorrow. I expect the Sox do as well with Buehrle pitching.

A split is all you need. Just looking at how the Rays did against Richard, Buehrle should handle a team that has all kinds of trouble with lefties.

Stone is giving it to Konerko saying this is indicative of the Sox all year. Not paying attention to outs or count.

I guess Konerko still likes to hit Astros.

I'm still curious why Grant Balfour isn't the Rays closer - he's a freaking stud.

Gotta get them tomorrow. Tampa is good, but looked very beatable today. They're not good against lefties (see Clayton Richard), and the Sox have two lefties going next two games.

Not the end of the world with this loss, just don't want to see Vazquez ever again.
