I have some training in sociolinguistics and I enjoy discourse and dialect, but I have never heard anything like his dialect at all. I don't think it was quite that wacky when he was a color guy. He's part hipster, part West Coast, part Big League-Cliche Man.....the circumlocution, the pauses....it's wacky.
