Gotta get them tomorrow. Tampa is good, but looked very beatable today. They're not good against lefties (see Clayton Richard), and the Sox have two lefties going next two games.

Not the end of the world with this loss, just don't want to see Vazquez ever again.

Absolutely. Split in Tampa and all's well.

Javy would be more helpful in the bullpen at this point, mainly due to him being effective in brief flashes.

Take away those two homers by Longoria and we are tied. Two homers to one guy is a fluke-type situation in a game like this, and don't count on that happening again from Tampa this series. Overall, even with the loss, I would say we played fairly well.

Playing well and losing by 2 runs???? Let's hope they don't throw a clunker!!!!!!

They simply can't match-up with the Ray.

How are the Cardinals doing? They won the whole shibang two short years ago.

The Sox aren't built for turf - and Javy sucks a big dick.

Well, Hawk and some of you guys said Richard should have started. Based on what he did you guys were right. That being said, the 2nd time through the order he Richard loaded the bases. He might have gotten roughed up had he started. But maybe not 6 runs. So you guys were right.

The key to the game was stupid Ozzie letting Javy start the 5th. We had them at 4-3 to start the bottom of the 5th. Javy allowed 2 more runs.

I said, before the game, have Richard ready for the 5th. Javy already pitched bad. Richard should have started that inning. We went on to get 4 runs on Konerko's homer.

Offense is to blame too. Bases loaded, one out, in the 7th and you get nothing.

Ok. Now we got our stud pitchers lined up. Javy will never pitch again. Even if we advance. We win tomorrow and I'll be pleased leaving Tampa Bay with a split.

you can say that in any game. "take away the best plays by the opposition and we are right there in position to win". no kidding.

You can't take away the Longoria homers. If you do that you have to take away the Wise and Konerko homers and we have no runs.

I'm not scared of this line up for Tampa. Our 2 lefties (Buehrle and Danks) should handle them. They are loaded with lefties. You walk Longoria every chance you get. Hopefully Pena is out tomorrow.

Kazmir struggled in September. That's why he didn't open the series. He was their stud for 4 or 5 months.

The silver lining is Richard pitched great, and Buerhle goes tommorow.

Offense was not good, nor was Javy.

I expected to lose this game. Still, it was there for the taking. So that's frustrating. Playoffs are so tense and stressfull

I had to listen to the entire game on the radio. For some reason, it's less stressful listening on the radio. Even when we are getting beat. I don't know why that is.

Fridays game is a 5:00 start. I like that. Everybody is home and it's right there for you. No waiting.

I'm the same way. I listen to most games on the radio, but playoffs? Definite must listen, not view. I like my arteries where they are.

Just looking for some opinions from the people that are supporters of "the unwritten rules of baseball" and the "disrespecting the game" watchdogs:

Which is worse: A. Soriano holding his bat in the air an extra beat after hitting another HR vs. the Braves, or that dirt kicking, pointing, smack talking episode that Cabrera had today (with the bases loaded and the last gasp on his bat)?

I sure hope all the people that felt Soriano deserved his multiple HBP's and subsequent criticism feel that what OC did today is just, if not more so, wrong.

"Lessons Learned" from today:
1. Javy is a motherfucking cocksucker who MUST be sent packing next year. He isn't worth the headaches and should not sniff one more fucking start in the playoffs.
2. Wasn't impressed by the Rays today. Evan Longoria needs to be brushed back tomorrow or plunked.
3. Rays closer was so-so.
4. Game was winnable today, except Javy was on the playoff roster.
5. The Sox should be able to get a split tomorrow.
6. Linda S. is an annoying bitch.
7. OC is a dickhead.
8. Juan Uribe is a necessary evil.

Not mad yet and not surprised but I am hopeful for Burls tomorrow. The guy is a gamer.

Soriano was showboating.
OC was being an idiot.
Both deserve to be HBP'd.

OC looked completely silly staring back at a pitcher that just struck his ass out. I think he has worn out his welcome in Chicago, no wonder Dye was so pissed at him earlier in the year.

I think it's safe to say that Orlando Cabrera's sorry ass will be history as soon as the White Sox season ends...

Could be, Country... O.C. seems to be stirring the pot, and I'm puzzled why he & former Cub and current Rays' coach Dave Martinez got into a shouting match after a miserable AB by Cabrera in the 7th... :?

The one thing I'll say about Konerko: That guy steps up in the playoffs. 2-4 today with a homer. Plus a hell of a job in the 2005 playoffs.

I can't wait for tomorrow. I'm saying it's a Sox blow out. I feel really good about that.

So, safe to say I'm not the only one that wanted to see OC get in a fight, then sit back and watch the rest of the Sox leave his ass out there alone to get his ass kicked by the entire Ray's team?
