You know who calls into sports radio shows? Idiots.

Let's say you heard 10 hours of callers. Is that 200 people total?

I know 200 fans would be a large percentage of your team's fandom, but this is the Cubs. Have you talked to anyone today?

We're still hungry.

Not one, not two, not three...

Are you calling Dan Bernstein an idiot? How dare you!

Of course, now that they won one, they can go fuck themselves from here on out. :D

Appreciate that.

But this team and the fans aren't settling for one. There are many fun years ahead for the Cubs/Cardinals/Pirates in the NL Central and NL Playoffs.

I agreed that that's an easy division.....the Cubs will be NL Central champs for quite a while. Kind of like being the skinniest kid at fat camp, but hey.... (kidding)

Schwarber will make some AL team very happy in a year or two when Theo trades him for an actual outfielder.
I like that Willson Contreras kid...bright future.

Infield + Hendricks = great foundation. That infield makes me sick.

Lester's getting older, but he may have just had his best regular season.

Who will close next year? Do they have Montgomery signed?

These guys are likable. Hate to admit it. Rizzo's a real leader. I usually think leadership is bullshit until I see a leader in action.

Oddly enough, and I don't remember where I saw it, but I saw somewhere that they were thinking of Carl Edwards as a closer if they don't find a way to resign Chapman.

I was under that impression as well.

Andrew Cashner is the next great closer in waiting for whoever signs him.

Not all of their fans are acting like sensitive, pre-menstrual metrosexuals. Just 99.9%.

I really doubt they even try to sign him. I hope they do not. Jensen is the guy to try to sign.

Good to see a Sox fan with some class.

Screw you my friend. I was all up in that WS thread.

Carl Edwards, Jr. is your closer next year. Lord knows what Rondon did to get on Maddon's list, but damn....he never threw a pitch. Strop was Strop.
Chapman not staying....not a chance.

It was a great team and they deserved to win it, despite Maddon trying to lose it. The only player I don't like is John Lackey. What a douche.

Rondon got injured and was horrible the rest of the year, including his one playoff appearance.

The Cardinals and Pirates are trash. I see the Cubs winning the Central by 20 games for the foreseeable future. They won a WS title in spite of no Schwarber, Jason Heyward in RF every day, Rondon, Grimm and Merlot Joe behind the wheel. Also, I don't think there is any other team in the NL that can challenge them in that time frame as well. Washington? They have Jason Napoli, er Werth as their cleanup guy and Harper has a hard time being consistently great. We just saw how weak the Giants and Dodgers are.

I lurk here but I'm surprised I didn't see any of you Cubs fans complaining about the lack of home field advantage in the WS due to that bullshit rule about winning the All-Star game.

Probably because having home field wasn't good for them ( or the Indians). They played tight at home in the 3 games . I'm glad they were on the road for 4 and it also allowed Scwarber in the lineup 4 times . That said, the rule is fucking moronic. Either give it to the team with the best record or go back to alternating years.
