Floyd is 1-2 with a 3.94 ERA in triple A. In my opinion the Garcia trade was a bad trade until Floyd does something. I don't care that Garcia is gone, but you have to get more for him.

The Garcia trade will be defined by Gio Gonzalez, not Gavin Floyd.

I thought KW pulled the trigger a little early on the Garcia deal. However, he had one year left and I didn't like what I saw for 3/4 of the year. The last 1/4 was enticing, but he was not the same Big Game guy of the past.

Gio's stats - 54K's, 13BB's in 36.2 IP
He's the key to that trade 13.25K's/9 is impressive.

Wow aside from the May 4 start, Gio has been lights out so far. He's still very young but I like the potential. Really what we need to worry about is th hitting though. They're not hovering around .500 because of pitching.

You can add Carl Everett to that list.

I forsee his re-re-re-activation date being about this time next month.
