probably not

My guess is I said we got him for nothing but it was a bad move after having just rid ourselves of the Danks contract

The trade was so bizarre. The Sox were the ones taking on salary and a rapidly declining player.

It seems like they kidded themselves that that team was a contender.

I think that trade screamed 1 person. Kenny Williams

Or maybe 312 was talking out of his ass like he usually does.

Me saying the deal 'is fine' (and I was wrong) and dolphin saying that flipping him was possible is far from "lotta guys liking the trade." Faaaarrr from it.

Hahn already owned it, it was Rick.

KLaw ranked Tatis the #1 prospect in baseball. Eloy was #5.

Exactly.. that's been the subdivision narrative since Hahn got the job.

It is probably 80 percent true though.

Williams was a terrible GM and Hahn gets a lot undeserved credit as far as I am concerned. I don't blame him per se regarding the decision to "rebuild" like they did. I totally disagreed with it when they did it and how they did it but I BLAME REINSDORK not Hahn. But I do blame Hahn for the particulars of who they got in return for tearing the team apart. I believe that it was a disjointed mess and had no cohesiveness to it at all. When you take a look at the major league roster, it is terrible and the progression from the minor leagues to fill like 5 gaping holes let alone their woeful pitching cache. This is on Hahn.

I kind of agree with this. I believe Hahn said in an interview a couple years ago, that he(Hahn) came up with options and presented them to Jerry, and Jerry picked the route to go. I don't think this rebuild was anyone's idea except Jerry's. I can't blame Hahn for the return on Sale nor do I think it was a bad return. I am not going to give up on a guy after a season and a half.

Keyser is plugged in, he warned you rubes that a Khan job was on the horizon. Everybody but that functional retard Frank should have seen it coming.

What are you referring to? Moving out of town? It can't be the decision to rebuild.

Yeah, Kenny won a ring but if he knew what he was doing, he'd have taken that team and developed it further as a powerhouse. Of course, that probably wouldn't have happened with the cheap owner that they have. A huge disappointment to me was the follow-up to that championship. They had the fan enthusiasm and an excellent ball club and fucked it up.

I am a baseball guy and am not going to give up on any of their prospects either after a season and a half. My criticism goes something like this. Take a look at the prospects on the big club and in their minor league system and see how far away from making the major leagues that they are IF EVERYTHING GOES GREAT. Take every position on the field and build yourself a depth chart with the year where these guys are going to be productive major league players. It is a sad picture. And then think probability that these players are going to actually be good players.
