The bullpen seems to have settled in, which is what playoff baseball has become. Just have to hope that the injured guys come back and hit. And that Grandal turns it around. Yesterday was a good sign.

I agree. I'm almost 60 years old with a completely fucked up knee. I don't know how many more seasons I have left. I don't want any more fucking tanking.

I'm only for adding by subtraction. If there's a guy you can move to get some good prospects while filling his slot on the big league roster, I'm for it. For example, I doubt Burger is as good as Moncada, but I'd be willing to roll the dice with him at third if Moncada put together a good run between now and the trade deadline and I was able to move him for some quality young guys. I don't think you're losing much at the big league level especially since Moncada is chronically injured.

Also, if I could get an elite left-handed bat like Harper or Soto, almost anyone would be on the table other than Robert.

Red Sox are awesome. .500 team who probably won't make these bloated playoffs. Believe white Sox are 11-11 against the al east. Meh. Meanwhile the twins won 2 out of 3 in Toronto with 4 or 5 unvaxxed who didn't go to Toronto. Love how the expectation has gone from winning a world series to winning a shitty al central .

I guess I was blinded with those two losses being 16-3 and 16-7.

3-4 vs Yankees.

You need to win the division first. Then it's a crap shoot.

Would you consider playing Burger at 2nd? The defense on this team is going to be a weakness regardless, but the lack of bats is what's killing them. I'd try any way possible to get the guys who are actually hitting into the everyday lineup.

I thought a big part of keeping Moncada at third, instead of second, was that he was hitting better at third and they didn't want to mess him up. Since he's not hitting great at third, why not move him to second and play Burger at third?

I think I might try it.

You know, today's game is so strange with less balls being put into play than ever. I suspect that defense is more overrated than it's ever been.

Moncada you might be able to get something. Maybe try him at second base and show that he can still play that position as well.

Grandal is so unbelievably awful I don't think you're going to be able to get much of anything for him. If you can trade him for just straight salary relief, do it. Addition by subtraction.

I wouldn't move Cease, Kopech, or Robert. I don't believe they would trade Abreu. Anyone else is fair game.

100% right

Minnesota is 25-19
Cleveland 25-21
White Sox 20-21

And other than against Detroit (7-3), they are 500 or worse against the others: KC 4-4, Cleveland 5-8, Minnesota 4-6

100% agree. Any legitimate front office would fired the manager and started making moves six weeks ago. But as we have seen time and time again, this is not a legitimate organization. Sadly, IT SHALL REMAIN THAT WAY until Jerry dies or sells.

People on Twitter and the Score freaking out about Sox not doing more at deadline. They clearly do not have the system right now to be able to make many moves to add to team.

They have to roll with what they have and see if they can sneak into playoffs.
