Good outing by Haegar tonight as well. He had relatively good command and stayed out of trouble. And for once, the bullpen didn't give up a run getting it to Jenks!

I'm starting to wonder if there is something wrong with him. He's not sharp right now and wondering if maybe he's having a dead arm period....

Gotta love Hawk. Before the losing run scores . . . "And tomorrow will be Buehrle against Westbrook".

Well, when you're the ONLY arm in that pen for months...

Yeah, that was pretty funny. It was either that or say nothing

I despise Juan Uribe. The guy has gotten progressively worse each year he played here. He has been out of shape since the close of 05.

I hate Uribe's unorthodox style. It works fine when closing out game 4 of world series, but with all his errors this year can he please use two hands when fielding a ground ball.

Uribe is playing horrible. They need to find a SS for next season.

I have a feeling we will end up with Omar Vizquel on his last legs. It really would be a boon for this team if KW could acquire a SS prospect who can lead off in the impending trades. That would reshape the team for next year.

That wouldn't surprise me. Kenny has liked him for awhile, and he usually gets guys at some point that he likes. Vizquel does look like he's about done though.

I'm actually surprised the Giants aren't even worse than they are. Everyone they have looks like they're done

If you have an improved offense, you can cope with having a guy like Vizquel out there at 40 playing remarkable D and hitting about .240. If you have players like Sweeney, Owens in the lineup, you really can't.

That's what I suspected.

Any chance for Brian Roberts?

A guy I like is Mark Loretta..He's in Houston, and plays 2B, and SS on occasion. Pretty much a consistent .300 hitter, but can not find a home.

Roberts signed an extension in Baltimore not too long ago (I believe). I don't see him going anywhere, but he'd be a perfect fit as a leadoff hitter.

Sox are stacked in the minor leagues with second basemen. They need a legitimate short stop. Id keep Iguchi over Loretta.[/quote]
