No, there is a new rule in place. I think if you have (2) years in a row with a top 10 pick, you can not pick in the 10 top in year 3.

It's not like it's possible to be worse next year...

You actually might be correct. I think this is rock bottom in the history of baseball. This is like the Dollar Bill era with the Hawks.

I had them down for 59 wins. Sometimes I'm too optimistic.

The over under was around 58 iirc. I thought 58? Nobody loses 100+ two years running. I didn't buy it

I think he told us it was a retool and not a rebuild. Which is nice because it would have been so much worse under a rebuild.

It was more than that when it first came out. Cease got traded late in spring. I pounded it before Cease got dealt.

I doubt anyone was predicting 120 losses, but 100 losses seemed very likely. and I see no reason they don't do it again next season. There is no talent on this team, and we all know they aren't going to rush out and sign a bunch of it in the off-season.

Frank is not a real fan. He hasn't cheered for this team to make history. So sad to see the true colors of fake Frank.

White Sox are well on their way to becoming the worst team in major league HISTORY!

I did not think they would lose 120+ games.

Next season may not be much better.

They say they are going to address the offense. How are they going to do that if they trade Robert (yes, he's having a bad year and isn't dependable, but he's still their best offensive talent, but they are probably going to be motivated to get rid of his $$$) and/or move pitching (like Crochet) to find offense? It doesn't seem likely they are going to add any free agents.

Assuming they trade Crochet for one good prospect who is MLB ready (or likely to contribute early next season), they will sell fans on this player, Montgomery and Quero being the offensive building blocks and all joining the team next season.

To me, that's them selling Sox fans on being a small market team.

12 game losing streak, and that's only the 3rd longest streak of the season....

It is nice of them to keep interest alive by trying once again to set the longest losing streak record, not long after only tying the record.

It would be utterly fantastic if they lost all of their remaining games.

That is what I am hoping for. I want JR to wear this for the rest of his miserable existence. I just wish he could be around longer to feel the shame of this for decades.

Does Jerry still get paid by taxpayers if attendance falls below a certain number?

Because I’m reasonably sure he does care about money and I’m 100% positive he does not give a shit about fans of his teams.

I think the way the deal works, is the Sox pay an extra tax on tickets sold over 1.9 million, and they haven't done that since 2010. I don't think there is any kind of "bailout" for crappy attendance.

Plus, I’m sure the soaring value of his Bulls’ stake is more than enough to compensate.
