Yep, all of these guys would be much better if they only had major league talent to work with and maybe a few stars.

Will they spend money? Probably not.

Will they trade their best pitcher? Probably.

They're going to be better because they can't do much worse and there is some younger pitching on the way, but next year will be brutal again unless they surprise with some additions.

In the short term, yes. However, the odds of sustained success is pretty low.
