I know, but these in-game threads always have a bit of a stream-of-consciousness feel to them. I figure I'd contribute.

Back to the game, Jim Thome just beat out a leadoff double in the bottom 6th!

That Kia commercial makes Rohrman look like a goddam Emmy winner.

i was more inclined to point out my disdain for that waste of space rather than call you out :)

i agree that while watching the game, anything's really open. some posts sometimes just consist of an expletive or "KONERKO!!!" as I would expect would follow this post...

There's something surreal about the Amstel commercials. It's not just the mythbusters buy holding a pint. They show a bunch of hipster-doofus type guys standing around, talking, laughing at concerts, college students who buy there clothes at American Apparel and Urban Outfitters and such all having a good time. That's all well and good. But let's be serious for a moment; the appeal of Amsterdam isn't guys hanging from lightpoles playing hackeysack with soccer balls. Its whores and weed. Amstel could at least acknowledge that. It even makes a nice slogan: Hash, Ass, and Amstel. I like it.

For those listening to the White Sox Radio broadcast on "The SCORE", did anyone hear the two foot putt Chris Rongey asked? This one is so easy, Rongey ought to be ashamed of himself!

Yeah, I guess you're right. For the record, I should probably say that I used to be one of those Urban Outfitter type guys. My T-shirts were never more clever.

I wonder how into-it Dutch hookers are. I imagine it's all going through the motions for them.

Also, to get back on topic: good game so far! They still have a very good chance here.

Is that for the Grandstand gift card? They're always 2 footers. Last week the question was "What is the Sox AAA afiliate?" I mean I don't expect them to be something like "In 1958, who lead the Sox in ERA on the road?" But Christ guys, put a little effort into them.

Frank, Rongey was asking the name of the White Sox mascot, which is "Southpaw". They need to ask better questions for the Grandstand giftcard...Meanwhile, Carlos Quentin just went over the fence for a home run and the Sox are down 6-5 now...

He didn't even look like he hit it that hard. Wasn't a horrible pitch either. He stayed back on it and muscled it out.

Nobody seemed sure if Quentin hit it out or if the left fielder caught it on the warning track.

D.J. Carrasco has done the job again! Get some more runs and have Bobby Jenks try to save it in the 9th...It would feel real good if they came back to pull a rabbit out of the hat! Meanwhile, the Mariners are leading again vs. Minnesota early at Safeco...
