Couple of questions...
Let me answer them for you.

First off, how many folks hate Elmhurst Steve?
More than those who don't.

Second, how many are looking forward to the Cubs collapsing again for the third year in a row?
Not me, but I'm sure plenty of Sox fans are.

Steve, you are a douchebag and you are the main reason Cub fans get the rap they do. Clueless and consumers of garbage, substandard baseball for over 100+ years. Christ, for as bad as the Sox were last year, they actually won a game in the playoffs unlike your shitty team who was swept, again. The team that swept you didn't even get to the WS, unlike the Rays.
You are committing the cardinal sin: letting what ES says get under your skin. Don't fall for it.

I hope the Cubs tank this year Steve in the most heartbreaking, soul crushing way imaginable. I hope it's so bad your kids cry.
You obviously weren't reading his attempts at chirping when they got swept last year. "It was a disappointment". All of the shit he tossed at Soxs fans all year he just said, "We still won back to back divisions" and blah blah...look, don't try and debate him. He is Elmhurst Steve. He has a great life. He doesn't let anything get him down.

BTW, why do you post on the Sox board? Just to piss people off and give more ammunition for Cub fans to be ridiculed and depised?
I can't believe you had to ask this.
The answers given here are really very good ones. The truth is, while I have been disappointed at times with the way several seasons (especially post-seasons) have ended, I love the game and it's not life and death whether the Cubs win or lose. I love good baseball. Thats why in 2005, I went to a dozen Sox games, including game #2 of the Red Sox (opening round) series. I appreciated that team and the way they played the game...the right way. Podsednik was a guy I called for the Sox to reclaim when Quentin went down, as they had an opening and did not have a true leadoff hitter. I loved the way he led off for the 2005 team and how Iguchi would take pitches and hit to right, as a good #2 hitter does. I generally call things as I see them. I don't like this Sox team all that much. I like Beckham's offense, but not his defense so much. I like Pods still. I like Dye on offense, but his defense is not very good, as his range is poor. A.J can hit and call a game, but can't throw out the trash, much less a good baserunner. The starters are good at the top of the rotation, but weak at the back end. Plus, now the bullpen is going badly. Jenks has sucked lately and Dotel has a penchant for getting ahead 0-2 and then throwing a fastball thigh high over the heart of the plate. The there is Line-Brink of disaster....I'll give kudos to Matt Thornton though. Hell, he should really be closing at this point. I do enjoy it when the Cubs are winning and Sox are struggling, (like now) but really, it's more fun when both are winning....then the Sox fans are more spirited in the banter exchanged.
Oh my, the Sox lost again...this time to the Twins, who along with Detroit, will battle it out for the AL central, while the Sux finish 3rd.
