Jenks to Boston for 2 years $12mil

Makes this signing look even better.

I don't think I'd agree with you on this. On the other hand the other Sox are signing him as a setup man. That's a lot of money for a setup reliever. It will be great when other Sox fans are clamoring for Jenks to replace Pappelbon early in the season.

Shit, I'm just glad they didn't try to sign Bob Crane.

Jenks will actually be a 7th inning or earlier guy. Bard is pretty much locked in as the 8th inning guy.

Did baseball stop having a best-of-five series in the playoffs? No? Then how is anyone guaranteed to do anything?

When they have Adam Dunn and Paul Konerko.

Okay. And the Phillies have Roy Halladay, Cliff Lee, and Cole Hamels. Baseball playoffs are a crapshoot.

I'm not worried. Paper tigers.

The Sox will be fine. And by fine, I mean World Series Champions.

Those guys play once every 5 games-- MAYBE once every 3 if they make the playoffs. Konerko and Dunn play 145+ games a year

Though, I do like that you seem to be crowning them as AL Champs already. Thats a step in the right direction. You will come around to BRick's and my way of thinking soon enough 8)

One of those guys would pitch 3 out of every 5 games, possibly every game in the playoffs since they try not to pitch all three starting pitchers in the same game.

I can't remember Pauly have two great years back to back so I and not expecting much from him this year.
