Maybe, I should have been a lazy dad and sat in front of the TV more watching sports instead of taking them outside to play :?
Let's get this straight here. Your kids don't watch sports and have no interest in any teams at all, yet your youngest one knows who the Cubs mascot is even though he was introduced just a few months ago?

I'm calling bullshit.

Maybe he saw them on the news. It was like the top story in Chicago for a week. #numberthreemarket

I paid close to a 100 for a pair of dog shit 3rd level seats at the United Center for a Bulls game this season. If I was a Sox fan I'd go a lot more often as it is a very nice game day experience.

In both cases, you severely overpaid. Who's your ticket broker?

No bullshit Frank, I was on ESPN Chicago and she saw a picture of Clark the Cub and asked who that was. I told her it was the Cubs mascot. She knows who the Bears, Bulls and Cubs are because I watch them on TV.

We went to a Kane County Cougars game for a work event and she loved the cougar mascot. Long story short, she identifies baseball with animal mascots. :?

Right

And then there is the fact that this is going on 10 years. How the hell is it mystifying?

The White Sox have another team 8 miles away that has(had?) a huge following
They lost 99 games last year
The economy and jobs (that create disposable income) have been in the gutter for 8 years at least

There are a bunch of legitimate reasons for the attendance. To pretend otherwise is just silly

Your guy Larry has said on multiple occasions that the bad economy is not a good excuse for Sox fans' lack of interest in attending games.

He's wrong.

The 500 level game experience sucks. It's worth next to nothing.

My kids play sports and show zero interest in watching any at all. They talk to me about what happened or something but no viewing. Probably an issue for the future.

You get a nice view of Bridgeport from the ramp. That's worth something? Maybe not?

I'm trying to think about how I was as a teen in terms of sports watching. There was nowhere near the amount on but I bet I watched very little. In all the free time in college, I never sat down on a Sunday to watch entire games like I do now.

You are probably right. I watched Bears as a youth but not a ton of other stuff. There was always baseball but I was outside and at night not really watching that. Hockey watching did not start in earnest until 1980 for me.

And here I thought every Chicago kid sprinted home from school to watch the Cubs on WGN.

It's also funny to hear that spewed by guys who work four hour days, and get free tickets to said games.

Got rid of Ozzie, Buehrle, and AJ.

Another percentage has been money spent at the UC for the Hawks. I know hockey is off during the summer, but if you had a choice to watch a Hawks or Sox game, which are you choosing?

Screwed over the season ticket holders. Like over a barrel, maybe even one with wheels.

They moved all the tickets holders in the now K-zone area to other seats. Made them take the upcharge. Season ticket holders get a break on the parking coupon. Parking prices were lowered, the season ticket holders didn't see that markdown.

The first row of the upper deck is farther away from the field than the last row of the upper deck in old Comiskey.
