Royals are really helping out swinging at this eye level stuff. Wow.

dWAR of 1.4 last season. A bit of Meh given the lack of offense.

For a scoreless game, this is moving at a snails pace

Rios is a great double play candidate.

Well then, warnings should be issued soon.
After shark brushes back a guy to voice his displeasure on a HBP earlier here he is popping a guy.
Might be a fun game if this gets out of control!

Micah is gonna have to work on that. Perez is going to cause problems.

I dont think so. Shark didnt want to put a second guy on base, and Avi got hit on an 0-2 count

That lack of a DP was on Shark, not michag.

Oh he didn't WANT to hit him, but he did. 2 HBP in the first couple innings usually causes problems.
Shark is doing his shark thing, running up pitch count and losing accuracy.
Missing out on the DP wasn't his fault though Stoney kinda wanted to blame him. That was a perfect hustle play/slide to break that up. Textbook.

And it was a leadoff walk that scored. Maybe Micah should throw more strikes.

So after telling us how great of an AB it was that he went deep in the count... Hawk tells us that he hates it that coaches coach players to go deep into the count to run up pitch count, and that he hates pitch count.

That Royals defense is going to win them a lot of games. I dont think it'll be long before Dyson is in RF either.

I think he means like a guy who goes up there looking to take pitches to work the count. That wasnt what micah eas dping.

Hawk is old and senile and awesome all at once.

I'm not sure I'm a fan of bunting a leadoff double runner over to 3rd.

Well I suppose it worked here so I am wrong. But still, giving away outs like that seems wrong to me.

The guy just doesn't stack up against the good pitchers of the game. His stats look good but there is no confidence that the guy is going to get you a game.
