I'm reading Giolito put on 20 lbs of muscle in the off season (6 months). I'm sure he lifted regularly before this. If he's now "juiced up" it will be interesting how his game is effected.

The only person with the ability to potentially gain 18-20 pounds of muscle in a year is a gym newbie—someone who's never lifted weights or trained before.

It sounded like it was in his legs.

Trevor Story to Boston for 6/$140m and an agreement to move to 2B.

I’d have spent Jerry’s money on that.

The Sox are going to run Leury Garcia out there everyday.

Edit; not everyday. Some days they’ll have a person called Harrison wandering around out there.

He might be, but they could of gotten a look at him at the deadline.

I REALLY hate Leury.

I'm with you. The numbers certainly show Trevor Story is much worse away from Coors. Those bad road numbers....still better than Leury and Josh Harrison

Big news is Crochet is done. Trade will overshadow it but this pitching staff is thin. Kopech is another injury waiting to happen.

they aren't thin in the pen

Kopech already had his injury

I would have liked another starter this off season but apparently JR thinks he CAN take it with him

having a pollock named AJ seems to be the determining factor for white sox championships

dude's got skills, you just gotta keep him fresh and not play him til he explodes. if you look at his stats over the last few years he's a super-productive depth guy (relative to being a 4th/ish OF,) and figure the universal DH is only going to help him that much more, seeing as he's never played for an american league team before and that's going to be an asset for a guy like pollock.
