Rain delay. NBCSN showing Buerhle's no-no against Rangers in April, 2007.

One of my favorite Sox back then. Dye was a steady solid performer day in day out.

They started showing the game in the bottom of the fifth.

They turn off Buehrle’s no no so we can watch James Shields. That’s a kick in the dick.

 No kidding. Unbelievable.

What is that Kung Fu kick thing Shields does after his release?

I used to really not like Trevor Bauer but now he's one of my favorite pitchers to watch. He has a plan about what he wants to do and how he wants to do it and he's getting great results. Gotta respect that.

Donaldson is having a rough time with the leather. He didn’t try to catch that one with his face. He better get that shit cleaned up before the playoffs start.

Whew. That was close. LaMarre was the perfect guy to have up in that situation.

Is Tito unconscious. Does he know he’s only used 2 pitchers this game.

It would be so fitting for these assholes to close the home season with a no-no

Boy that Jim Angio is a really big fella. I hope he’s able to drop some serious Lb’s in retirement.

Rob Scahill has no business being on a major league roster.

Rebuild my ass,right Sox fans?

Hawk all excited about 2020 on his last day sounded ridiculous and sad.

These toss away seasons take their toll on the fans,no matter what team you root for.

If I'm a Sox fan,I better see a pulse at least in 2019!

Shields won't be on the team next year. That is the only change you'll see next year. Cleveland will runaway with the central and the rest of the teams will be under .500. 2019 will just be a repeat of 2018.

That makes my day. I understand that he is a great guy, the franchise (Sox not Parkins) values him and he's good with the younger guys. I get all that and can't see a reason to disagree.

It sure seems that his days of being a solid fourth or even fifth starter are way behind him. Maybe and that's a big maybe, he's a mid inning relief or spot starter in a pinch?

Stone and Bennetti gushed all over him before his last start lamenting his 200th inning pitched and spinning all the positives. I get that as well - it's their job to try and take the bad season's nuggets and shine them up. I don't hold that against them. I like Stoney and Jason.

However, please take the ball out of his hand and make him an assistant coach somewhere in your system if you value him that much.

My prediction: Sox decline his option, and re-sign him.
